Rubber & Plastic Chemical Dispersions

A Comprehensive Range of Products Designed to Meet Your Exacting Requirements

FlowSperse® Dispersions can help you meet your performance, quality, and ESG goals. PSG offers a broad range of morphology that can be tailored to customers’ specific requirements.

Custom-Formulated, Single & Multi-Ingredient, Value-Added Chemical Dispersions

  • CPS
  • Controlled Particle Size Technology (CPS)

PSG has implemented its CPS (Controlled Particle Size) technology across our entire dispersion product line. Our FlowCal®, calcium oxide dispersions, paste products, and polymer-bound products are all designed to take advantage of this process and provide you with better performing and more consistent products. Our technology for controlling particle size is essential for an effective and robust dispersion that yields exceptional rubber compound performance.

When you need consistent dispersions that perform at high levels, think of PSG, CPS technology utilized in the FlowSperse® product line.

  • CureBlends
  • CureBlends

PSG provides a number of treated chemical blends specified by you, in heat-sealed, low melt, pre-weighed, printed, batch inclusion bags. We are also able to supply returnable containers or recyclable cardboard packages. Custom blends designed to support the mix-cycle are also available.

Benefits of using our pre-weighed chemical blends include:

    • Assures precise dosing
    • Better batch to batch consistency
    • Reduced mix time
    • Lower cost end products
    • Eliminates waste due to spillage
    • Adds to employee safety and hygiene
  • Polymer Bound
  • Polymer Bound Dispersions

PSG manufactures its FlowSperse® brand dispersions in single or multiple ingredient formulations. Our Slab or pellet binder systems are based on customer-specific needs for handling, mixing, and safety concerns. These dispersions are primarily directed towards mill addition where the addition of a number of individual chemicals is challenging. PSG offers multiple standard grades, as well as customer-specified formulations.

Benefits of Polymer Bound Dispersions Include:

    • The most efficient way to add ingredients
    • Improves accuracy of weight when using small amounts of ingredients
    • Improved dispersion of chemicals often leads to a lower loadings
    • Greater stability of active chemicals due to encapsulation
    • A safer way to handle skin irritants or inhalation hazard components
  • Paste
  • Paste Bond Dispersions

Paste bond dispersions are used to get the absolute highest degree of particle size consistency and dispersion characteristics. PSG produces paste dispersions ranging in consistency from a firm paste that can be cut, to moderately low viscosity pumpable pastes. Products are available in bulk packages or in our pre-weighed low-melt bags. Our unique process is designed for a very high level of particle size control, resulting in the highest level of activity possible. FlowSperse® pastes are designed for internal mixer applications and typically offer a cost advantage compared to polymer-bound products.

  • Concentrates
  • Powder Liquid Concentrates

If you have difficulty handling liquid chemicals, PSG can help with its line of Powder Liquid Concentrates. These specialty dispersions are typically 70 to 75% active ingredients that are carried on an inert filler. Powder Liquid Concentrates are an excellent way to overcome the problem of adding a liquid directly into an internal mixer or on a two-roll mill.

  • Silicone
  • Silicone-Based Dispersions

PSG offers various silicone color and chemical based dispersions in millable or cutable paste, and pourable or pumpable liquid forms. Our process provides for particle size control and the highest dispersability required and expected by our customers.
