CLEVELAND, OH (July 6, 2022) — Polymer Solutions Group (PSG), a leading global polymer additive, dispersion, and release agent manufacturer, announces that Gabriel N. Short, Ph.D., has been hired as Product Innovation Chemist. In this role, Dr. Short will support the continued innovation of PSG’s additive product line and develop sustainable chemical solutions to address customer and market needs.
As Product Innovation Chemist, Dr. Short will leverage his materials, chemical synthesis, characterization, and processing expertise to devise sustainable synthesis routes for target chemistries. In addition, he will conduct experiments to optimize existing synthesis methodologies and develop new synthesis approaches for the next generation of products.

He will be working closely with us to develop the next generation of products, leveraging his experience with sustainable chemistry.”
Dr. Short has an M.S. and Ph.D. in Organic Polymer Chemistry from the University of Florida and did postdoctoral research at the Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on carbon capture. He received his B.A. in Chemistry at the University of San Diego, receiving the Undergraduate Researcher Award. Prior to his postdoc tenure, he taught chemistry as an adjunct professor at Santa Fe College.
Dr. Short started on June 13 at PSG’s headquarters in Cleveland.
